It’s been a week since the NFL Draft kicked off live from Pittsburgh. While the Buffalo Bills had a first round pick going into Round 1, they traded down three times which led to them trading out of the first round completely. From Round 2 and on, the Bills managed to add multiple picks and ultimately walked away with ten players from the draft.

General manager Brandon Beane faced a ton of pressure going into last Thursday, and he brought in a young and promising rookie class for Bills fans. He addressed multiple positions of need and even managed to get a steal or two on the final day of the draft.

Beane has a history of drafting very well on Day 3, getting players who serve as great depth players, or have grown into quality starters over time. Coming out of this past draft, it really does feel like he did it again. Even with their first selection with T.J. Parker early in the second round, many people thought that Parker would have gone in the first round.

Parker was one of three players selected by the Bills that landed on ESPN's Matt Miller's list of 100 best picks, steals, and fits.

Along with Parker, the Bills saw themselves receiving credit for the selections of WR Skyler Bell and LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr. Bell was ranked No. 64, Parker was ranked No. 65, and Elarms-Orr was ranked No. 77.

First, seeing these three specific players should have Bills fans feeling great because each player fills a position of need. Secondly, each of these players have the opportunity to be an immediate contributor if not by 2027.

The Bills needed to add to their receiver room, and Bell could very well become a big time steal that other teams will regret passing on. Parker was one of the top edge rushers coming out of this draft class. Elarms-Orr is one of the most underrated linebackers in the class who could very well replace Matt Milano. Not to mention, he could be a replacement for Dorian Williams who is entering a contract year.

It’s a new era at One Bills Drive. While Brandon Beane is staying with the Bills, it’s going to be Joe Brady’s show on gamedays. Now that the draft is over and the second wave of free agency is happening, we have a better understanding at what this new-look Bills team will be moving forward.

Change can definitely be scary. However, it can also be exciting. The Bills needed a change after getting bounced from the playoffs early again, and now they have it. Now it’s time for the players to show what they will produce on the field.
