In less than one month, the NFL Draft will be active and teams will be able to draft their new rookie classes to develop over the next four seasons. It’s always an exciting team for the organizations, players, and of course the fans. The draft is the biggest step towards the start of the season as fans get a better idea of how their favorite team will look going into training camp.
The Buffalo Bills are one of the few select teams that don’t have major needs. Sure, they have a position or two that must be addressed but they are not in bad shape at all. The Bills are heading into the draft with ten picks to utilize.

Buffalo is set to pick in every round other than the third and seventh round. They traded their third round pick this year when they acquired Amari Cooper midseason last year.
Related Bills news:
The likelihood of the Bills keeping all ten draft picks is highly unlikely. With their first pick set to be in the first round at No. 30, the Bills could be waiting awhile to make their first selection. However, we have seen the Bills trade up before and this should be a year where they do it again if a prospect that they like starts to slip down the board.
Buffalo has a big need at getting a cornerback, as well as defensive line depth. They have been linked to a lot of defensive players like DT Kenneth Grant from Michigan, CB A’zareye’h Thomas from Florida State, and even CB Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky. Maybe the Bills get lucky and get to stay put at their original pick, but there is a chance that they may have to trade up.
3 teams that Bills can trade with to move in Round 1 of NFL Draft
Baltimore Ravens (No. 27)
If the Chiefs, who have beaten the Bills repeatedly in the playoffs over the last several years, can pull off a trade with Buffalo, then the Bills should be able to pull one off with a team that they have beaten in the playoffs twice this decade.
The Bills are three spots behind the Baltimore Ravens and it would make the most sense to trade with the Ravens seeing as how Buffalo wouldn’t have to give up as much. However, maybe the Ravens don’t want to trade with a conference rival. We have seen it though before.
The Ravens and Bills have traded before in the first round of the draft, back in 2022. Buffalo traded away No. 25 and a 2022 fourth-round pick to move up two spots to draft cornerback Kaiir Elam. Now, Elam isn’t even in Buffalo anymore.
Los Angeles Rams (No. 26)
One spot ahead of the Ravens is the Los Angeles Rams, so the Bills could potentially jump ahead of Baltimore to get the player that they want and eliminate the risk of losing their destined pick to another AFC powerhouse.
The Rams have eight draft picks, but four of them are in the sixth round. They don’t have a second or fifth round pick. Buffalo has two second-round picks as well as three fifth-round picks. This seems like a good chance for the Bills to move and for the Rams to get extra draft capital.
Minnesota Vikings (No. 24)
NFL Draft analyst Chad Reuter already posted a mock draft that had the Bills and Vikings pulling off a first round draft trade that brought the Bills up to No. 24 to draft Florida State cornerback A’zareye’h Thomas. In that mock trade, the Bills traded their first round pick (No. 30) and both of their fourth-round picks (No. 109 and No. 132).
Minnesota is set to only have four draft picks so they can be considered a team that should be looking to trade and acquire more draft picks. Enter Buffalo into the conversation with their ten picks and they can certainly help the Vikings.
