3 players looking for contract extensions who Bills fans should approve of in 2026

If these three players play well this season, they should all be priorities for GM Brandon Beane to extend after the 2026 season.

The Buffalo Bills saw a few of their top stars in the 2025 offseason being retained on long-term contracts after having their rookie deals expire after the 2024 NFL regular season. General manager Brandon Beane also signed superstar quarterback Josh Allen to a six-year, $330 million extension, perhaps the biggest extension of the offseason.

Then, edge rusher Greg Rousseau was signed to a four-year, $80 million deal while linebacker Terrel Bernard inked a four-year, $50 million deal. Cornerback Christian Benford was signed to a four-year, $76 million deal, while wide receiver Khail Shakir inked a four-year, $60.2 million deal.

Just inches closer to the regular season, Beane made one more extension by signing running back James Cook to a four-year, $48 million extension. Beane then proceeded this past offseason by inking center Connor McGovern to a four-year, $52 million contract.

With all the extensions given out already, there isn't much left under the salary cap, but Beane has always worked his magic to get the important deals done when needed.

3 players desiring contract extensions after 2026 season

1.) TE Dalton Kincaid

Dalton Kincaid has had his moments as a playmaking tight end for the Bills and their offense. The former 2023 first-round pick will be in his fourth season and has piled up 156 catches for 1,692 yards and nine touchdowns.

For all the promise he's brought to the team, Kincaid has yet to show he can play in all 17 games and be healthy enough to reach his ceiling. Despite questions about his resilience, the Bills exercised his fifth-year option on his rookie contract, meaning he will return for two more seasons.

This gives the Bills the flexibility to decide whether to pursue a possible renegotiation, but Kincaid will have to prove his worth starting this season.

2.) G O'Cyrus Torrence

O'Cyrus Torrance should definitely be the team's No. 1 priority for a contract extension. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound athlete has been a focal point at right guard on their offensive line. Since he was drafted, he has played his role in opening up holes for Cook to hit and also for Allen to throw screen passes and take off for those key first-down scrambles on third and long.

Since 2023, the Bills have placed a premium on continuity and experience on the offensive line, making that unit one of the best in the NFL.

Beane has already linked left and right tackles Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown to long-term deals, as well as center Connor McGovern. Despite losing David Edwards this past free agency, the Bills are still returning four of their five starters on the line, with the last player yet to be extended, hopefully, being Torrence.

3.) LB Dorian Williams

Dorian Williams has been a tackling machine, recording 220 tackles during his first three NFL seasons. He has a chance to show that Jim Leonhard's aggressive 3-4 scheme fits him better than the 4-3 scheme Sean McDermott used in the past.

At 6-foot-1, 228 pounds, Williams may not be the big, powerful linebacker needed in an aggressive 3-4 scheme, but he is an explosive off-the-ball linebacker who can be a force in stopping the run at the second level.

Still, if his numbers are even slightly better in a defense that might use his skill set better, then recency bias shows that Williams would be worthy of an extension, which might put rookie selection, Kaleb-Elarms Orr, on the roster bubble early during training camp.
