In the Bills' Monday Night Football loss against the Atlanta Falcons, Josh Allen had a second straight rough game, which is not like him. Let's take a look at three observations from his rocky game to figure out what is going on.

3 observations from Josh Allen's Week 6 peformance

1. Allen was under constant pressure

The Falcons' pass rush was relentless in their pursuit of Allen tonight. He was under constant pressure, and he clearly looked uncomfortable when the protection faltered. Allen was sacked four times, but Atlanta had him consistently feeling the heat. Perhaps the Bills' offensive line had a bad night, perhaps Atlanta's D-line is legit, but whatever the case, Allen struggled under the pressure.

2. He struggled to find his top receivers

Allen struggled to get the ball to his receivers, perhaps a symptom of the pass rush, and perhaps because the Bills don't have a true top receiver. For whatever reason, Allen just wasn't finding his guys. Josh Palmer led the team with two catches for 60 yards, but nobody else managed more than 33 yards.

The Bills were sorely missing Dalton Kincaid at the tight end position, with Dawson Knox struggling to step up. He did catch a 19-yard touchdown pass, but did nothing else in the passing game.

3. He still has the ability to be the hero

Despite a relatively bad game for the offense, Allen still was able to turn on his "hero-ball" tendencies. His first-down run in the fourth quarter was an incredible play that very few quarterbacks are capable of pulling off. He nearly led a touchdown drive, if not for a pass that was tipped and intercepted.

However, that pass reveals exactly why Josh Allen "hero-ball" is not what the Bills should be hoping for. In his attempt to be the hero, he made a bad decision, throwing a ball with a defender's hand just a few inches away from him. That led to an easy game-sealing interception. Allen plays best when he doesn't have to be the hero.
