We’ve got NFL football today and while there are plenty of games to watch, Bills Mafia won’t be seeing the Buffalo Bills taking the field as they are on their bye week. Luckily, the Bills got the extra time to rest and prepare for Week 8 when they host the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bills got the chance to watch the Chicago Bears take down the New England Patriots on Thursday night, giving the Bills more room in the AFC East at the top. That was a huge gift from Chicago, and now Buffalo coming off a bye week can run the division for a little bit longer for now.

There is still plenty of football to be played from now until Week 18, but we can start to talk about which games mean a little bit more for teams, whether they directly or indirectly affect them. The Bills remain in first place of the AFC East, but there is so much more that goes into the success that they have. Sometimes it's just about controlling their destiny, but also getting a little bit of luck from other teams.

As fans get ready for a fun-filled day of football, there are 3 specific games that Bills fans should be following along with (as well as who they should be rooting for those 3 games).

3 Week 7 games Bills Mafia should be watching closely

Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens
Who Bills fans should root for: Bengals

In Week 8, the Ravens come to Buffalo for an AFC clash with the Bills but they have a divisional game first at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. Division matchups are always tough, and they tend to be close as well.

The Ravens are coming off a 13-10 loss against the Cleveland Browns, and if they lose back-to-back division games, their confidence is going to be low coming into Week 8. Not to mention, the winner of the Bills and Ravens game gets the tiebreaker so if the Ravens were to lose against the Bengals, and then against Buffalo, they would almost fall too far behind the Bills in the AFC.

Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets
Who Bills fans should root for: Dolphins

No matter what happens in this game, there won't be any movement in the AFC East but if the Dolphins were to pick up their first win of the season against the Jets, it would set the Jets back another game behind the Bills before their Week 10 matchup. Plus, it would get Miami's first win out of the way so that the Bills wouldn't be entering a potential trap game against them in Week 11.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks
Who Bills fans should root for: Seahawks

Only 3 teams remain undefeated in the NFL, and the Kansas City Chiefs are the only AFC team left. They have themselves a tough primetime matchup in a hostile enviornment up in the Pacific Northwest.

While Buffalo and Kansas City don't see each other until Thanksgiving night, if Buffalo can take care of their business and Kansas City start to slowy lose momentum going into the colder months, Thanksgiving Night could be a big difference-maker between who owns the tiebreaker and who could be on the outside looking in as far as the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
