The Buffalo Bills didn’t add any running backs during the 2023 NFL Draft but only have three running backs on the roster. They have typically had four on their 53-man roster with Taiwan Jones being exclusively a special teams contributor.

The Bills could still bring back Taiwan Jones or they could look to add a veteran who could contribute more on offense. The Bills did bring in Latavius Murray earlier in the offseason but didn’t agree to a contract that they could revisit now with the NFL Draft complete.

However, one running back that makes a lot of sense for the Bills would be Benny Snell Jr., who played the past four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a player that can play more on offense than Jones if the need were to arise with 275 rushing attempts and 17 receptions in his career.

The reason it would make a lot of sense for the Buffalo Bills is that he was a key part of the Steelers special teams with 991 special team snaps and played over 65% of the special team snaps the past two seasons. At only 25 years old, he would be a younger option than Taiwan Jones and be more than a one-year replacement.
