Gabe Davis
Entering the 2023 NFL Draft, one of the most talked about positions was wide receiver and what they might do at the position. All options seemed to be on the table from drafting one in the first round to even trading for veteran DeAndre Hopkins.
Neither of those happened and while they did draft Justin Shorter in the fifth round, he is unlikely to compete this year with Davis. Based on this NFL Draft, the Bills once again show they are committed to Gabe Davis as their starter.
This past season, Davis was productive but not necessarily efficient with 48 receptions, 836 receiving yards and seven touchdowns but only a catch rate of 52% and a career-high nine drops.
The former fourth round pick will remain in the starting lineup and has a chance to have a breakout season in the final year of his rookie contract. If he can improve on the drops and take that next step forward, he will be one of the more sought-after free agents in the NFL next offseason.
