The 2023 NFL Draft is officially in the books and over the seven rounds, the Buffalo Bills added six players to their roster. When looking at the entire draft class for the Bills, it was clear that general manager Brandon Beane wanted to add more talent around Josh Allen.

In the first round, the Bills had to trade up two spots to accomplish that as they sent a fourth round pick, along with the 27th overall pick, to the Jacksonville Jaguars to select tight end Dalton Kincaid. He is one of the top tight ends in this year’s draft class and should be able to make an impact right away.

Then to start Day 2, the Buffalo Bills added a player in Round 2 in O’Cyrus Torrence that should give Josh Allen more time in the pocket to find players like Kincaid down the field. The interior offensive line was a concern for the Bills last offseason and the team got great value getting a player that could have been considered in the first round.

In Day 3, the Buffalo Bills were looking to add additional draft capital and completed three separate trades to achieve that. In the fifth round, they traded back with the Washington Commanders to Pick 150 while adding a sixth round pick (Pick 215).

They would then trade their original sixth round pick (Pick 205) to the Houston Texans for a seventh round pick (Pick 230) and a 2024 sixth round pick. The Bills would then trade Pick 215 to the Los Angeles Rams for a seventh round pick (Pick 252) and another 2024 sixth round pick.

When looking at this draft class, the Bills added two players who look like they have the potential to be Day 1 starters for the Buffalo Bills in Dalton Kincaid and O’Cyrus Torrence. The remaining picks probably will need more time to develop including in the group Dorian Williams and Justin Shorter.
