Defensive Tackle
Jaquelin Roy, PJ Mustipher, Nesta Jade Silvera
The defensive tackle position remains a concern for the Buffalo Bills as they have yet to draft a player at this position. The Bills don’t have any player under contract past this season and saw players like Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens get drafted on Day 2.
As will be the case with a majority of these targets, it is going to depend on who falls to them in Round 5. The hope would be Jaquelin Roy would be that player as he is a player the Bills showed interest in leading up to the NFL Draft and has the talent to be a part of the rotation as a rookie.
If Roy is not available, two players to watch would be P.J. Mustipher out of Penn State and Nesta Jade Silvera out of Arizona State. Mustipher is more of a run-stuffing defensive tackle and won’t provide much in terms of rushing the passer but was a two-time All-American wrestler in high school, which should interest Sean McDermott and his background in wrestling.
Nesta Jade Silvera also is better as a run stuffer versus pass rushing from the interior of the defensive line. However, he did have 17 tackles for a loss over the past three seasons and could be a little more of a penetrating defensive tackle.
