Defensive Lineman linked to the Buffalo Bills

Zacch Pickens: South Carolina d-lineman Zacch Pickens made a pre-draft visit to Buffalo, according to Jordan Schultz. Pickens is an interior d-lineman, at 6’4″ 291lbs, and an athletic one at that. In four seasons, he totaled 131 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.

Will McDonald IV: The former Iowa State edge rusher made eleven pre-draft visits, and Buffalo was one of those destinations. McDonald was extremely productive in college, racking up 125 total tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss, 34 sacks, and 10 forced fumbles. The 6’4″ 239lbs former First-Team All-Big-12 player, would be a great addition to the Bills’ defensive line.

Mazi Smith: Yet again, another top-30 visit for the Bills with a top prospect. Ian Rapoport reported that Mazi Smith had over 20 visits and meetings with teams, and the Bills were one of them. The former Michigan d-tackle is very athletic for his size, at 6’3″ and 323lbs. The Bills need help on the interior of their d-line, and adding Smith would be a great get.

Derick Hall: Aaron Wilson reported that the Bills were set to host a Zoom call with Derick Hall. The former Auburn defensive end put his athleticism on display at the combine, running a 4.55 forty-yard dash, with a 33.5″ vertical jump. The 6’3″ 254lbs d-end, totaled 146 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles, in four seasons.

Jaquelin Roy: The Bills reportedly held a top-30 visit with defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy, according to MLFootball. The former LSU Tiger projects as a 3-tech in the NFL and would add some nice depth to the Bills’ interior.

Gervon Dexter: MLFootball reported that Gervon Dexter met with the Bills. Dexter backed this up himself, by saying he had a visit lined up in Buffalo. Dexter is a gigantic 3-tech defensive tackle at 6’6″ and 310lbs. The former Florida Gator had 125 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks, in three seasons.

Byron Young: Another Tennessee prospect made a visit to Buffalo. This time, it was edge rusher Byron Young, according to Aaron Wilson. According to Bills draft writer, Dean Kindig, Young was one of the most scouted d-lineman by the Bills. Starting off with the JUCO route, Young ended his senior season at Tennessee with first-team All-SEC honors. The 6’2″ 250lbs edge rusher runs a 4.43 forty-yard dash. He ended his two-season career with 83 total tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks.
