Defensive Tackle

Starters: DaQuan Jones, Ed Oliver

Backups: Jordan Phillips, Tim Settle, Eli Ankou, Brandin Bryant, Kendal Vickers, Cortez Broughton

Similar to defensive end, the Buffalo Bills have a familiar group at defensive tackle with the same four players from last year’s 53-man roster returning after agreeing to a one-year deal with Jordan Phillips. However, DaQuan Jones and Ed Oliver should be the starter with Tim Settle also a factor in the rotation.

In addition to those four, the Bills also have Eli Ankou and Brandin Bryant returning who have primarily been on the practice squad during their time in Buffalo but both were called up at different points of the season and appeared in games.

While this position is one of the deepest on the roster, the front office may still want to add to the position during the 2023 NFL Draft. The reason is that there is no defensive tackle under contract past this season and this creates a great deal of uncertainty past the 2023 season.
