Less than two weeks from now, the Buffalo Bills will be in the thick of the 2023 NFL Draft, and hopefully, have added at least three key playmakers to this roster.

Before the draft kicks off, though, general manager Brandon Beane could still pull off a couple of other moves. Whether it be signing a veteran free agent, or trading for a big name, Buffalo has time to improve this roster even further.

How about via trade?

In a recent piece done over at CBS Sports, there were a few veterans tabbed as perfect trade targets for the Bills.

Veteran trade fits for the Buffalo Bills: Josh Jacobs, RB

The Las Vegas Raiders used the franchise tag on running back Josh Jacobs, and the two sides aren’t exactly coming together on a long-term deal. If things go sideways, Jacobs could be an excellent trade option for teams needing an experienced, well-rounded back.

In that CBS report, the Bills were one of the top reams mentioned as a fit for Jacobs. Coming off his best year as a pro, Jacobs ran for 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. The former Alabama product just recently turned 25 years old, so he’s got a couple more seasons left in his prime before teams should get worried about a decline.

Jacobs can run well between the tackles, and does a great job maintaining balance through contact. But, he can also catch the ball better than some might believe due to his being a “bell cow” type.

If the Bills wanted Jacobs, he wouldn’t cost a ton, considering he’s on the franchise tag. If Vegas can’t work out a long-term deal, then they might as well get something in return.
