Buffalo Bills free agents who could be replaced in 2023 NFL Draft: Devin Singletary, RB
Devin Singletary left Buffalo to sign with the Houston Texans, and the Bills signed free agent running back Damien Harris to come in and be the one-two punch with last year’s rookie, James Cook. However, if the Bills find the right value, they could opt to find that missing playmaker via the draft.
Harris only signed on a deal worth just over $1 million, so he’s by no means irreplaceable even after signing this year. There are some solid mid-round running backs in this year’s draft, and the Bills wouldn’t have to spend high to find a legitimate starter next to Cook.
One of the most productive backs in college football, ever, has been UAB’s DeWayne McBride, who is projected to go in the third or fourth round. Over his last three seasons, McBride ran for over 3,500 yards, averaging 7.2 yards per carry and becoming a tackle-breaking machine.
If the Bills opted to go even later, one of the best late-round backs available could be Minnesota’s Mohamed Ibrahim, who ran for 4,668 yards during his Gopher career.
