Round 6: Luke Tenuta

Luke Tenuta is the only Bills draft pick from 2022 that did not pan out because of his play on the field. Tenuta was drafted in the sixth round as an offensive tackle out of Virginia Tech. With athleticism and experience starting at both tackle positions in college, he was a worthy flier late in the draft.

However, he did not make the Bills 53-man roster out of training camp, was waived by Buffalo on August 30, 2022 and was claimed by the Indianapolis Colts who were desperate for offensive line help entering the 2022 season. He did not see any game action for the Colts before being waived by them on October 18. He was then claimed by the Green Bay Packers and played on just four snaps for them.

It is not surprising that a sixth-round draft choice would have difficulty making the roster of a team with Super Bowl aspirations, so it is hard to qualify Tenuta’s selection as anything more than a wild card that did not hit for the Bills.
