Boogie Basham

A.J. Epenesa isn’t the only defensive end that could be made available as Boogie Basham is another former Buffalo Bills draft pick that could generate interest. Basham was a second round pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest.

This past season, Basham appeared in 15 games and had two sacks and five QB hits after registering 2.5 sacks and three QB hits his rookie season.

While Epenesa and Basham could be moved during the 2023 NFL Draft, I think if there is a trade at defensive end the Bills would only trade one and not both players. It will come down to who could generate the most value and has the most interest.

This could end up being Basham because while he hasn’t been as productive as Epenesa, he has two years left on his rookie contract. The low cap hit over the next two years could be very appealing to teams looking to improve their pass rush.
