Gabe Davis
Another player that would generate a good amount of interest if made available by the Buffalo Bills would be wide receiver Gabe Davis. This past season, Davis was the starting wide receiver opposite Josh Allen and was productive with 48 receptions, 836 receiving yards, and seven receiving touchdowns.
However, the expectations were much higher after the way he finished the year prior and finally stepping into a full-time role. The biggest concern is a catch rate of 51.7% and a drop rate that continued to increase year over year up to 9.7% this past season.
This season, Gabe Davis is entering the final year of his rookie contract which could motivate the Buffalo Bills to trade him if they believe he might leave in free agency next offseason. However, similar to Ed Oliver the Bills may want to keep him if he breaks out and it would be more valuable to them to have that production than a draft pick or two.
The other challenge is that the Buffalo Bills are entering the 2023 NFL Draft already needing a wide receiver, primarily a slot receiver, and if they were to trade Gabe Davis it create another hole at a position that needs an upgrade. The Bills would probably listen to trade offers but it seems unlikely they would move him.
