player. Scouting Report. CB. 6. Pick Analysis. Purdue. Cory Trice. 848

With their final pick in the draft, the Bills look to add some depth at cornerback. If their corner room is healthy, they should be much-improved from a year ago. Obviously, Tre’Davious White took a while to recover from injury and didn’t start to look like his old self until late in the season.

Now, with a full offseason of work, White should be back to form. Last year’s first-round pick Kaiir Elam should hopefully take another step in his second season, after an inconsistent rookie campaign. If those two guys are right, the Bills are headed in the right direction.

Still, depth could be an issue. That’s why Buffalo drafts Purdue cornerback Cory Trice here at pick no. 209.

The best traits to like about Trice come with his size and length. At 6-foot-3, Trice is a big-bodied corner with tremendous arm length. He is very good at rerouting receivers and making life difficult on the outside due to his physical nature.

He isn’t the fastest, but still ran a fine 40-yard dash, clocking in at 4.47 seconds. What he lacks in speed, he’ll make up with his temperament. The Bills could also look at trying him out at safety throughout the summer months, as he certainly fits the physical profile there, too.
