Buffalo Bills Mock Draft: A subtle trade lands tremendous value

The Texas Longhorns have a pair of teammates entering this year’s draft class, and both should end up finding a home before the weekend is over. Both Moro Ojomo and Keondre Coburn are going to hear their name called during the ’23 draft, and in this scenario it just so happens that Coburn is headed to Buffalo.

With Von Miller’s absence, we’ve already mentioned how much the defensive front suffered. Adding as much talent and competition in this area should be a priority, and that’s why Coburn comes to the Bills here in the fifth round.

The 6-foot-2, 340-pound Coburn is an interior lineman who excels at getting low, firing off the ball and being able to win with angles. He’s an ideal candidate for running stunts and slants, and finds himself in the back field regularly. He’s great against the run; that’s his biggest strength.

Because of his lack of length, he relies on specific moves to get to the quarterback rather than using his arms. When he does get an edge, though, he pursues very well. Again, he is a player with a high motor who doesn’t necessarily have an “off switch.” He’s the type of guy you want in there in situational football, and can help a defense shut down a big third down play.
