Zay Flowers, Boston College

Height: 5’9″
Weight: 182 lbs
Age: 22

To wrap things up, here we have, yet, another slot receiver. Catch the trend yet?

Now, to be fair, Zay Flowers has the speed— 4.42 40-yard-dash— to be an outside guy.

That said, his size makes it a bit tougher to do that.

But, it’s been seen where smaller guys can have an impact on the outside, rather than just automatically assuming they’re a slot receiver because of their size. Zay Flowers might lose some notoriety due to his college choice, however, he didn’t choose Boston College because they were his only offer.

So, while he could’ve had more accomplishments or earned the nonsense title of “battle-proven,” had he gone to a school with higher competition, Flowers shined as a BC Eagle.

His 2022 senior season was his “breakout” season, however, with what he was playing alongside, Flowers’ numbers are impressive. And the way he looks on the field is even more impressive.

While he’s small in stature, he’s incredible with the ball in his hands. On top of that, he’s as good at getting the ball in his hands.

His ability to come down with contested catches or poorly thrown balls is incredible.

Boston College isn’t necessarily the school people talk about when talking about college football greatness, but Zay Flowers might change that narrative. If nothing else, he’s leaving big shoes to fill.

In terms of what he brings to the Buffalo Bills, he’d be exactly what the Bills should be looking for in terms of a receiver that can take some pressure of Stefon Diggs.

All-in-all, the Buffalo Bills should be considering one of these four receivers shown, as any one of them would add a wrinkle to their offense that could, genuinely, make them unstoppable.

If the defense can hold their own, the window for Buffalo isn’t near closed. Not with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs at the helm of this offense, alongside one of these stud slot receivers.
