Trade Number 2: The Buffalo Bills make a deal for running back Derrick Henry

The second trade Buffalo should make is for Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry, who is officially on the trade block as of this moment. The Titans are a team that’s not even in a retool, but in a full-on rebuild as they continue to part with veteran players.

Tennessee needs to figure out their quarterback position, first and foremost, and in doing so over the next offseason or two, they might end up wasting a year of Henry’s career. Buffalo makes a whole lot of sense as a trade partner, and even just a few days ago the Bills were one of the top teams rumored to land the league’s top running back over the last five years.

The Bills will likely watch Devin Singletary leave via free agency and attempt to hand the reigns to second-year pro James Cook, but he’ll need a running mate. The Bills run the football a whole lot, and if Josh Allen can help it, he’d probably like to not have to depend on his legs as much as he does.

There would be no bigger impact to this offense than adding a workhorse like Henry, who would instantly make defenses completely shift their focus every down. No longer would it be just about Allen or Diggs. From thereon out, defenses would have to account for one of the meanest, most dominant backs this league has ever seen.
