Veteran free agents the Buffalo Bills can sign to fill Von Miller’s void: Robert Quinn
A season after setting the Bears’ franchise record with 18.5 sacks, Robert Quinn was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and saw his production decline severely. Through all of the 2022 campaign, Quinn could only manage a single sack in 13 appearances.
That would go down as his single-worst season as a pro, dating all the way back to 2011. Now, he enters free agency likely to receive the lowest paycheck he’s ever seen, since being a rookie. Luckily for Buffalo, Quinn would come cheap.
Is he healthy, though? Injuries have seemed to creep up on Quinn off and on the last few seasons, causing his productivity to fluctuate severely. He is set to turn 33 in May, and looks to be on his last leg if last season was any indication.
Would Beane take the risk on Quinn, banking on the veteran to revert back to his 2021 form? That would be a big risk, especially if Miller isn’t ready for the regular season like he insists he will be.
