Denver Broncos

The team that probably makes the most sense for Devin Singletary in 2023 would be the Denver Broncos. The first year of Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback was a disaster but this could have been due to Nathaniel Hackett as head coach.

The Broncos have decided to make a switch and will move forward with Sean Payton, who was hired as head coach this offense and will look to maximize the offense and help Wilson bounce back. One thing that was clear this past season was Wilson needs a quality run game and the Broncos have talent with Javonte Williams but major questions as Williams is working his way back from a torn ACL and LCL.

After Williams on the depth chart, the Broncos have Chase Edmonds but with a cap hit over $5 million he looks to be a cut candidate for the Denver Broncos. If they want to add a veteran running back that can be the primary running back while Williams is out then move to a shared backfield, the former Buffalo Bills running back makes a lot of sense.

While Singletary is not dynamic as Alvin Kamara he is a threat out of the backfield and could allow Payton to implement similar plays that allow Russell Wilson to throw quick passes and get it out in the flat to Singletary. If the Broncos believe Javonte Williams has the potential to be a top running back, then Devin Singletary could be the perfect addition to bridge that gap until he is fully recovered.
