Jaxon Smith-Ngijba

Based on some of the wide receivers the Buffalo Bills were interviewing at the NFL Combine, it is pretty evident that they are looking for a slot receiver. One of those players is probably Jaxon Smith-Njigba out of Ohio State who probably needed the NFL Combine more than any of the other players on this list.

The reason is he missed most of last season due to a hamstring injury after an incredible season the year before with 95 receptions and over 1,600 receiving yards. At the NFL Combine, while he didn’t run the 40-yard dash he did run through a number of other drills and looked very comfortable back on the practice field and catching the ball.

Over the past few years, Josh Allen had Cole Beasley to throw passes to who was a reliable pass catcher, particularly in those third down situations where the offense needed to keep a drive alive. This is exactly what Jaxon Smith-Njigba could do for this offense as he has great hands and is a good route runner that is able to find the open spots in the middle of the field.
