Pick Analysis. DL. San Diego State. Jonah Tavai. 5. 901. Scouting Report. player

At this point in the draft, it is all about finding the best player on the board. And, at pick number 139, the best player for the Bills is San Diego State’s Jonah Tavai. The Bills don’t necessarily. have a glaring need on the interior of their defensive line, but Tavai is too intriguing to pass up here.

He stands just six feet tall and weighs just under 300 pounds, therefore his frame is actually a bit smaller than you might desire at the position. However, he holds it all together really well. His frame is compact and he packs a lot of strength.

One of the biggest reasons to buy into Tavai is the way he plays with such a high motor. He does not stop until the play is over. He can be one of those guys who is more annoying to play against than anything else, because it’s almost as if he doesn’t have an “off” switch.

Tavai’s power is another big reason to like his game. Because he is a little shorter, he has a natural advantage in leverage, and he uses that well.
