The wide receiver position is another one that the Buffalo Bills will look at closely and there are a number of receivers that they could target in the first round. However, if there is one dream target it would have to be TCU’s Quentin Johnston.

The reason that Johnston would be the dream pick is that he has a unique blend of size and speed that currently the Bills don’t have. There is no question that Jordan Addison, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, or Jalin Hyatt could be productive and would address a need for this offense but none have the size that Johnston does at 6’4″ and 212 pounds.

This past season was a breakout year for Quentin Johnston as he had 60 receptions, 1,069 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns with an average of 17.8 yards per reception.

There is not a clear consensus number one wide receiver in this year’s draft class but Quentin Johnston might be the closest to it. The only reason that he could still be available is if teams value the route-running of Addison, the speed of Hyatt or a slot receiver like Smith-Njigba that allows Johnston to slip down to the Buffalo Bills.
