New York Giants

The New York Giants were one of the surprise teams this past season in Brian Daboll’s first season as head coach. The Giants would finish the year 9-7-1 and make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. They would win their first playoff game on the road against the Minnesota Vikings before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Divisional Round.

The connection here is an obvious one as Brian Daboll knows Jordan Poyer well from his time as offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills from 2018 through 2021. In addition to Daboll, the Giants general manager Joe Schoen came from Buffalo where he was assistant general manager for a number of years.

The Giants could have a need at the position if they are not able to re-sign Julian Love, who was their starter last season but is also a free agent. Poyer could be a veteran leader for a secondary that is relatively inexperienced.
