Von Miller is not ready for the start of the 2023 season

One of the biggest turning points of the season for the Buffalo Bills was when the team lost Von Miller to a season-ending knee injury. The addition of Miller this past season couldn’t have worked any better for the defense as Miller was playing excellent football, with eight sacks through 11 games, but also players like Ed Oliver and Greg Rousseau were making big plays with the attention Miller was getting.

Unfortunately, Miller suffered a torn ACL on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions and the Bills pass rush wasn’t nearly as effective.

While Von Miller sounds confident he will be ready for the start of the 2023 season, it is still a pretty big unknown at this point. While every knee injury is different, Tre’Davious White suffered a torn ACL on Thanksgiving in the 2021 season and didn’t return until Thanksgiving this past season against the Lions.

If Von Miller is not ready to begin the season, the Bills pass rush once again will probably not be nearly as daunting unless players like Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa can improve on their performance at the end of last season.
