The 2023 NFL offseason is going to be wild and full of movement. The Buffalo Bills likely won’t be making any splash moves, but at least one of their division rivals could be.

The New York Jets have a roster put together, right now, to go and compete for a Super Bowl in the next couple of years. Really, the only piece that’s missing is a quarterback. If the Jets could go out and get a top free agent quarterback like Jimmy Garoppolo or even Derek Carr, there’s a possibility this team competes into the postseason next year.

Another option, though, could end up coming by way of the NFC North. A certain veteran quarterback is currently taking his time to think about his next steps, and we should know in the coming weeks just what he’s going to do.

Who is this quarterback? Of course.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the New York Jets have asked the Green Bay Packers about Aaron Rodgers’ availability in a trade.

We could be seeing Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills taking on Aaron Rodgers twice in 2023

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported live, on-air, Sunday afternoon that the Packers would indeed be open to trading Rodgers if he requested one.

It seems as though we have seen this story play out, every offseason, for the past few years now. Will this year be any different? Will Rodgers actually be on the move? Or, will it be the same old story where he ends up going back to the Packers for “one last dance,” or whatever he wants to call it this time.

If Rodgers did go to New York, though, that team has the makings of a contender. Their defense was much-improved in 2022, especially thanks to first-round cornerback and Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner.

Offensively, as long as last year’s rookie sensation Breece Hall returns healthy, Rodgers will have a decent arsenal of weapons featuring both Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who by the way, also won some hardware this year. The Jets have both Rookie of the Year winners from a season ago on that roster.
