The Buffalo Bills have over 20 free agents and there will be some players that the team wants to bring back but won’t be able to due to financial reasons, as well as a group of players that they want to bring back and should have a good chance to do so.

However, there is a third group of players that are set to be free agents that the Buffalo Bills will likely be able to replace through free agency or the NFL Draft. These are three players from last year’s team that will not be missed in 2023.

The Buffalo Bills signed Greg Van Roten as a free agent last offseason after he was released by the New York Jets. At the time, the move made sense as he was an experienced offensive lineman that provided the team depth for the interior offensive line.

Van Roten would get four starts this past season, at both center and guard, and played 355 offensive snaps. However, in those four games the offensive line would struggle and Josh Allen was sacked 10 times in those games with only 23 sacks in the other 13 games.

Greg Van Roten will be 33 years old entering this season and it would be better for the Bills to look for a younger option to be the backup and replace Van Roten.
