Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen and the 5 biggest salary cap hits for 2023

Buffalo Bills top salary cap hits for 2023: Josh Allen, $39.77 million
This year is the year Josh Allen’s huge contract kicks in. His 6-year, $258 million contract is a big reason why the Bills are so cap-crunched this year, along with Diggs and Miller. Those three contracts take up a giant chunk of Buffalo’s salary cap in 2023, and they have to make it worth it.
Allen goes into an offseason after being criticized by many for his turnovers in 2022. He led the NFL with 19 giveaways last season, and a good amount in the red zone. His performance was noteworthy enough to catch the attention of his general manager, and Beane knows this team has to figure out why those turnovers happen.
Although Allen’s 2022 season was a monstrous year in terms of overall yardage and touchdowns (over 5,00 yards from scrimmage and 42 touchdowns) it was those turnovers that caused many to worry about just how far the Bills could go in the postseason.
In the end, Allen’s turnovers were only one of the reasons why Buffalo couldn’t get past Cincinnati. Between fixing the offensive line, getting help at wide receiver and within the pass rush, hopefully the Bills are back at it next year and ready for another attempt at a Super Bowl.
