Buffalo Bills top salary cap hits for 2023: Stefon Diggs, $20.27 million

As the season came to a close, there was no bigger story, immediately, than that of wide receiver Stefon Diggs and his reactions on the sideline towards his quarterback. Diggs was visibly frustrated in the second half and was caught on camera yelling in front of Josh Allen.

With all of the reactions and questions surrounding Diggs and Allen, the wide receiver has publicly stated via Twitter that he was just frustrated and passionate. He wants to win. Although, when he took to Twitter back in Minnesota after a tough loss, that’s what ultimately got him traded. So, it’s fair for fans to wonder.

But, Diggs should remain in Buffalo as the team’s top passing option. However, he needs help. Gabe Davis did not break out behind all of the hype going into his 2022 campaign, and the Bills’ myriad of wideouts behind those two were inconsistent at best.

Diggs is as talented a wide receiver there is in this league, but he needs a little help to take the pressure off of him. He’ll be worth every dollar he’s paid in 2023, but the Bills have to get him a running mate. Without much cap space, they could look to try and find a gem in this year’s draft.
