Taking their foot off the gas is not an option for the Buffalo Bills

Similar to the last point, the Bills must not only limit their turnovers, but refuse to take their foot off the gas.

This weekend was a perfect example of what can happen to a team when they decide to stop putting the pedal to the metal. We saw two different occasions, with the first coming Saturday night when the Los Angeles Chargers completely stalled offensively against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it cost them their season.

Fortunately, the Bills giving up their 17-0 lead didn’t end up costing them their chance at a Super Bowl. If it had, we’d be having a much different conversation right now. Thankfully, they live to breathe another day.

Buffalo not only has to start fast in this one, but they have to be careful. There will be plenty of emotion after what happened the first time these teams met. The Bills will be overwhelmed with adrenaline, and that just might help them start fast. In fact, there’s a great chance it does.

But, after the adrenaline wears off, they have to be mentally prepared for their emotions to come down just a bit. They have to be prepared, mentally, to continue playing at their pace. If they take their foot off the gas, Burrow and company will take full advantage. You can bet on that.
