Buffalo Bills Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 61 – Jammie Robinson, S, Florida State

Now, before it gets misconstrued, Jordan Poyer is a great football player; there’s no doubt the guy can play.

That said, his contract expires this season, meaning he could be a free agent come the spring.

And while many of Bills Mafia would probably not love seeing Poyer go, it might be time.

Not only has strong safety Jordan Poyer been dealing with injuries on-and-off, but the same can be said about free safety Micah Hyde.

Both safeties on this team are banged up and aging, so attacking those positions, whether in free agency or the draft, should be a similar priority as the offensive line.

So, to fix at least one of those problems, is Jammie Robinson from Florida State.

What position is Jammie Robinson? A free safety? Strong safety?

Well, he’s actually lined up as free safety, strong safety, nickle back, and linebacker in his time at Florida State.

This guy is someone who just plays football at an incredible level. He’s fast, he’s strong, he hits hard, and he can play well in coverage.

In all honesty, he should be in contention for the best available safety in this draft.

He might not have the name recognition of Jordan Battle, but the two could have very similar NFL careers when it’s all said and done.
