Dee Ford
Dee Ford was a first round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014 and had a great start to his career. In the two seasons that he started 10 or more games, he finished with double-digit sacks each year with 10 sacks in 2016 and then 13 sacks in 2018. In the 2018 season, Ford also was named to the Pro Bowl.
He was traded to the San Francisco 49ers after that season but never was able to make the same impact that he did with the Chiefs. Ford would only play 17 games over three seasons and injuries limited what he was able to do. He had a hamstring injury that cost him five games in 2019, then he was placed on injured reserve in 2020 and 2021.
He was released prior to the 2022 season and has yet to play a game this season.
Dee Ford is an explosive pass rusher when healthy and as part of a rotation could be a good addition to this defense. The question will be whether or not he is able to stay healthy.
