Week 11 grades for the Buffalo Bills against the Cleveland Browns
It was an impressive performance by the entire special teams because they impacted the game in a number of ways. The first player is obviously Tyler Bass who tied a franchise record with six made field goals, including a season-long 56-yard field goal. He was automatic on the day and was a big reason for the Bills’ win today.
In addition to Bass, Nyheim Hines had a number of good returns, both on kickoffs and punts, and looks to be the primary starter for both moving forward. The Bills also had a blocked field goal by defensive tackle DaQuan Jones that at the time didn’t seem critical but the Browns did cut the lead down to just eight by the end of the game.
Final Grade for the Buffalo Bills in Week 11
This was far from the Buffalo Bills best game of the season and there will be things the coaching staff will try to improve when they look back at this game, with the red zone offense probably at the top of the list.
However, when considering the Bills only had one true practice this week after dealing with a number of players missing Wednesday’s practice due to illness and then all the changes that occurred due to the snowstorm, this was a rather impressive performance.
The Bills got off to a slow start but as the game went along they looked clearly like the better team. In the end, the team got what they needed which was a win, and now have a short week of preparation before they return to Detroit to play the Lions on Thanksgiving.
