Buffalo Bills can’t capitalize on great chances in the first half

While the Cleveland Browns were able to make the most of their chances, that wasn’t the case for the Buffalo Bills in the first half. The Bills’ offense started out with three straight drives that ended in three and outs and didn’t get their first first down until midway through the second quarter.

The issue is that the Buffalo Bills were in a great position to come away with more than two field goals in the first half. The first drive that ended in a field goal, the Bills began their drive at the 32-yard line after a great punt return by Nyheim Hines. However, the Bills gained only eight yards and ended up with only three points.

Then in the second quarter, the Bills’ defense was able to give Josh Allen and the offense a short field after Matt Milano recovered a fumble at midfield. The offense did find some rhythm on that drive thanks to the run game and had a chance to have the ball inside the five-yard line.

However, a hold by Reggie Gilliam backed them up and the offense would stall that forced them to settle for another field goal.
