Injuries on the defensive side of the ball

While a majority of the focus might be around Josh Allen and his elbow injury, the Buffalo Bills are dealing with a number of injuries on the defensive side of the ball. Last week against the New York Jets, the Bills were without safety Jordan Poyer and linebacker Matt Milano.

Hopefully, the Bills are able to get both of those players back for this game but even if they do, they are unlikely to be at full strength. The reason is due to the fact that Greg Rousseau suffered a high ankle sprain against the Jets and Sean McDermott said he is ‘week-to-week’ on Monday.

This is a big loss for the defense as Rousseau has been playing great football in his second year in the league. He was second in sacks on the Bills with five, which is one more than he had all of last season.

If Rousseau is out, this means the team is going to need either Boogie Basham, A.J. Epenesa, or Shaq Lawson to step up and try to replace the lost production from Rosseau’s absence.
