4 storylines for the Buffalo Bills entering Week 9 against the NY Jets
The potential absence of Matt Milano and Jordan Poyer
Last week was like a breath of fresh air for the Buffalo Bills as injuries weren’t a major concern for this team. That hasn’t been the case over the first six weeks of the game and unfortunately, it appears it once again is going to be a topic of discussion leading up to the game.
On Wednesday’s injury report, the Bills had two notable defensive players miss practice with safety Jordan Poyer and linebacker Matt Milano. Both players have been playing excellent football this season and will be major absences for this defense if they are out.
Unfortunately for Poyer this is just another in a long list of injuries he has had to deal with this season. This week it is another elbow injury but if he is to miss this week the Buffalo Bills have a little more depth at the position after trading for Dean Marlowe.
As for Milano, he is dealing with an oblique injury and if he were to miss this game, it would be the first this season. The sixth-year linebacker has been playing at an elite level and has arguably been the team’s best player on that side of the ball.
