The Buffalo Bills got big performances from their stars in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs, like Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Von Miller. However, this was a complete team effort for the Bills to be able to come away with a victory in Arrowhead Stadium.
There were a number of players who may not have had big stat lines or notable performances when looking at the box score but played big roles in the outcome. These are those players that were the unsung heroes for the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.
Who were the unsung heroes for the Buffalo Bills against the Kansas City Chiefs?
David Quessenberry
The first player was someone who was not expected to play much against the Chiefs but after Spencer Brown suffered an ankle injury in the first half, it was on David Quessenberry to come in and protect Josh Allen.
Quessenberry is a veteran offensive lineman and looked good during the preseason. However, Brown has been the starter for most of the regular season. On Sunday, Quessenberry came into the game and the offensive line didn’t miss a beat protecting the quarterback.
The only blemish on the day was that technically he did give up the only sack on Allen. However, the reason I write technically is that it should have been called for a penalty as Jones tripped Allen. In total, it was a good game for David Quessenberry and the offense doesn’t have the success they do without the performance across the offensive line.
