Wide Receivers

Last year, the Chiefs’ defense did a good job limiting Stefon Diggs in their two games against the Buffalo Bills. However, this week with two rookie cornerbacks they had no answer for him as he caught 10 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown.

As for Gabe Davis, who last time was at Arrowhead Stadium was setting a playoff record, had no problem finding the end zone with a long touchdown right before halftime. He finished the game with three receptions for 74 yards.

However, the game from Isaiah McKenzie pulled the grade down slightly as he had only two receptions for nine yards on five targets. In the first half, McKenzie looked like he had a touchdown but tripped as the ball got close. Then on the final drive in the half dropped what should have been an easy first down as it bounced off his hands.

Meanwhile, Khalil Shakir continues to impress and made a good 14-yard reception on his only target. If this trend continues, the coaching staff should think about incorporating the rookie more into this offense.
