Buffalo Bills are in the driver’s seat now for the number one seed

The Buffalo Bills’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs now puts them in the driver’s seat for the number one seed. While there is plenty of football left to be played in the regular season, the Bills now own the tiebreaker over Kansas City.

This is a huge advantage as the Bills have seen their playoffs the last two years end in Kansas City with a loss in the AFC Championship Game in 2020 and then last year in the AFC Divisional Round. If the Bills were to end up earning the number one seed, it will mean they will play at home through the entire playoffs and if they have to play the Chiefs, the game will be in Western New York.

While the Kansas City Chiefs are not on the Buffalo Bills schedule currently, it certainly seems like this is not the last time these two teams will meet. If they do, the Buffalo Bills should finally have home-field advantage.
