Right now, the best player on the Chiefs’ defense is defensive lineman Chris Jones and Pro Football Focus even has him graded as the best defensive player in the entire league with a current grade of 91.9.

The challenge with defending Chris Jones is that the Chiefs move him all around the defensive line and typically line him up against the weakest part of the opposing team’s offensive line. Entering this game, I expect that Jones will likely be spending most of his time lined up against the right side of the Bills’ offensive line and this means Ryan Bates probably will draw that assignment most of the game.

The Bills brought Ryan Bates back this offseason after matching the contract offer from the Chicago Bears after he had a promising finish to the season last year. This week will be a great test for Bates and if he has a good game against Jones, it will give Josh Allen more time in the pocket and that is a great thing for this offense.
