6 storylines for the Buffalo Bills in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs
Can the Buffalo Bills contain Travis Kelce?
On Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders, tight end Travis Kelce put on a show with four touchdowns. The Raiders’ defense did not have an answer for the former All-Pro and Kelce’s performance was the deciding factor in the outcome.
With Tyreek Hill no longer a part of this offense, Travis Kelce is the clear top receiving target for Patrick Mahomes. On the season, he has 33 receptions, 347 receiving yards, and seven receiving touchdowns.
This is not good news for the Buffalo Bills as they have struggled to limit Travis Kelce and the impact he can have on a game. In seven career games, including two playoff games, Kelce has 41 receptions, 463 receiving yards, and seven receiving touchdowns.
The success is a little surprising considering the Buffalo Bills have some good players on defense that should match up well with Kelce in Jordan Poyer and Matt Milano. Maybe the team had focused on limiting the big play of Hill that which opened more opportunities for Kelce and with Hill gone, the defensive game plan can focus almost exclusively on the tight end.
Regardless of what the plan is, the Buffalo Bills can’t let Travis Kelce get going if they want to secure the win.
