Christian McCaffrey

The most obvious player that the Buffalo Bills could target is running back Christian McCaffrey however it would also require the most compensation. McCaffrey is a former All-Pro running back and after a few years dealing with injuries looks healthy this season. In the past four games, McCaffrey has had over 100 yards from scrimmage each game with two touchdowns during that stretch.

On Monday evening, there were initial reports that the Buffalo Bills had reached out about a potential McCaffrey trade but that was corrected shortly after. While the Bills may not have asked about a trade yet, it would stand to reason that at some point before the deadline there will be a discussion.

For the Buffalo Bills, they haven’t gotten much production on the ground from their running backs but have been involved in the passing game. If the Bills continue to utilize their running backs in this fashion, adding a player like McCaffrey makes perfect sense.

The former first round pick is probably the best pass-catching running back in the NFL and is someone that can be moved around, even lined up at wide receiver. He would certainly make a great offense better and could be that final missing piece to a Super Bowl run.
