Week 5 grades for the Buffalo Bills against the Pittsburgh Steelers

Wide Receivers

After a few down weeks, Gabe Davis had a breakout game and made an impact play on the third play of the game when he caught a 98-yard touchdown from Josh Allen, tying a franchise record. He would then add another long touchdown later in the game, this time going 61 yards. He finished the game with three receptions for 171 yards.

However, he wasn’t the only wide receiver to go for over 100 yards as Stefon Diggs led the way in receptions (8) and targets (11) while going for 102 yards and a touchdown.

The Bills also saw Khalil Shakir and Isaiah Hodgins have career firsts as Shakir scored his first career touchdown and Hodgins made his first career reception.

The depth was on full display in this game without Isaiah McKenzie and Jamison Crowder and was an excellent game for this group.

Final Grade: A+

Tight End

It wasn’t as promising for the tight ends though as Quintin Morris got the start in place of Dawson Knox. He made some good plays and had three receptions for 39 yards but made a pivotal mistake with a fumble at the goal line off a shuffle pass from Josh Allen that would have put the Bills up 38-3.

If he converted that touchdown, the Bills likely would have gotten their starters out even earlier than they did in this game.
