Week 4 grades for the Buffalo Bills against the Baltimore Ravens
Safety
Last week was the first time since 2016, that the Buffalo Bills didn’t have Jordan Poyer or Micah Hyde on the field. While Jaquan Johnson and Damar Hamlin did admirably in their absence, the defense missed their starting safeties.
In Week 4, Jordan Poyer was able to return and it was a huge boost for this position as he had six total tackles, three passes defended, and two big interceptions in the second half. He was the MVP this week for the Bills and they wouldn’t have been able to make the comeback without his play.
The surprise for this group was that Damar Hamlin, and not Jaquan Johnson, got the start in place of Hyde. However, it seemed like the right call as Hamlin played very well and had eight total tackles.
Week 4 grade: A+
