DaQuan Jones

DaQuan Jones was one of the players that I believed had to deliver if the Buffalo Bills wanted to come away with a win against the Baltimore Ravens. The defensive tackle did just that as he had two total tackles and 0.5 sacks.

While the stats may not be big, the coaching staff asked Jones to play more than he has this season. He was on the field for 70% of the snaps and this was probably a combination of the Ravens being a run-heavy team but also the fact that the Bills were lacking depth at the position with both Ed Oliver and Jordan Phillips out.

The Buffalo Bills run defense has been significantly improved over last year and one of the big reasons has been the addition of DaQuan Jones. He plays the one-tech and is asked to do a lot of the little things that don’t show up in the box score but make the job of his teammates around him a little easier.
