Buffalo Bills have a streak dating back to last season come to an end in Week 4
One of the stories for the Buffalo Bills dating back to last year was their ability to get off to a fast start. Over the past eight games, including the playoffs, the Bills have been able to score a touchdown on their opening drive.
That streak came to an end in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens as Josh Allen threw an interception on a pass attempt to Dawson Knox. The pass was off the mark for Josh Allen but this may have been due to the fact that the pass was tipped by defensive end Calais Campbell.
The Ravens would capitalize quickly after with a touchdown of their own on a Lamar Jackson shuffle pass to J.K. Dobbins.
Over the previous eight games, the Bills have a record of 6-2 with their only losses being in the AFC Divisional Round to the Kansas City Chiefs and then last week against the Miami Dolphins.
Their ability to put up points early has been a big reason for their success as it allows the defense to put pressure on teams, forces opponents to abandon the run, and if they were on the road would take the fans out of the game.
Unfortunately, the Bills are now going to be facing an uphill battle against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens forced the turnover, which gave their offense a short field and it took only a few plays before they put up points to take the lead.
On top of that, the Baltimore Ravens will also get the ball to start the second half since the Bills won the toss and elected to receive.
The Buffalo Bills are looking to put last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins behind them and are hoping to not suffer their second consecutive loss of the season in Week 4.
