Wide Receiver

The Buffalo Bills also appear like they will be without wide receiver Jake Kumerow for a few weeks with a high ankle sprain. He has played a lot on offense to start the year with about 25% of the offensive snaps against the Rams in Week 1 and then started in place of Gabe Davis in Week 2.

The Bills have plenty of options to replace Kumerow on offense with Khalil Shakir likely the player to see the biggest increase after being active two of the first three weeks. The coaching staff also has some options on the practice squad with Isaiah Hodgins and Tavon Austin that could replace Kumerow this week.

The challenge is how do the Buffalo Bills replace what Jake Kumerow brings to special teams? In the first two games of the season, Kumerow played 58% and 70% of the special teams snaps. During the preseason, the Bills did give Isaiah Hodgins some snaps on special teams so he could ultimately be the answer and maybe a player the team calls up this week against the Baltimore Ravens.
