Entering Sunday, there were a number of players that were expected to be ruled out like Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and Ed Oliver. However, on Sunday center Mitch Morse was part of those inactives which was a bit of a surprise.

The starting center was dealing with an elbow injury but after three limited practices, he was questionable. He would ultimately miss the game due to the injury he suffered against the Titans and the team turned to Greg Van Roten.

He is a veteran offensive lineman but didn’t have any starts at center and the lack of experience showed. There were a few bobbled snaps, including one at the end of the first half that cost Buffalo a field goal attempt. The team appeared to miss Morse’s experience calling out protection pre-snap as Josh Allen was impacted the most by an opposing team’s pass rush of any game this season.

This is one position the team may re-evaluate and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Greg Mancz, who is currently on the practice squad, get the start if Mitch Morse is forced to miss more time.
